Charlie Murphy

As a lifelong Cubs fan, I found 'Charlie Murphy' to be an absolute gem. Villella's narration is spot-on, capturing Murphy's charm, arrogance, and everything in between. He effortlessly switches between voices, bringing the story's key players to life. The pacing is excellent, keeping the listener engaged even during the more detailed historical accounts. I particularly enjoyed the insights into the early Cubs' dynasty and the role Murphy played in shaping the team's culture. However, I must admit, some of the more technical baseball details could have been simplified for the non-sports fan. Nevertheless, this is a minor critique in an otherwise outstanding audiobook that every Cubs fan, and indeed every baseball enthusiast, should enjoy.
