As an editor, I went into Clashing Hearts expecting a fun, lighthearted romance, and Nicky James delivered. But what really impressed me was how James tackled the complexities of small-town life and the challenges of first love. However, I did feel like some of the supporting characters could have used a bit more development to truly make them feel fleshed out. That being said, the romance between our two leads is undeniable, and Russo's performance brings a level of emotional depth to the story that's just incredible. One of the things that really sets Clashing Hearts apart is its pacing. James expertly ratchets up the tension as the story unfolds, making it impossible to look away from the drama unfolding in Willow Creek. And Russo's narration is the perfect complement to James's writing, bringing a level of warmth and humor to the story that's just infectious. Overall, I'd highly recommend Clashing Hearts to anyone looking for a compelling, emotionally resonant romance.
