I was hooked from the get-go. B.N. Love's narration is nothing short of outstanding. His ability to switch between Piper's vulnerability and her alien captor's menacing growl is commendable. The pacing is excellent, keeping the tension high and the romance slow-burning, just the way I like it. Wilde's writing is vivid, painting a stark contrast between the harsh, cold alien world and the tender, budding love story. My only critique? I wish there was more world-building. While the alien species and their culture are fascinating, I found myself craving more details about their world. But that's a minor gripe in an otherwise excellent audiobook.
