Omaima Aree Nelson’s tale, for instance, is so bizarre and specific that shoehorning it into a broader thesis about ‘women who murder’ feels reductive. The production also occasionally flattens the emotional weight of its subjects—like when a killer’s childhood abuse is glossed over in favor of sensational details. Still, these are minor quibbles in a collection that delivers exactly what true crime junkies crave: stories that linger like a fingerprint on your brain.
