The story unfolds like a peeling scab: each revelation about his son’s disappearance in Pinochet-era Chile exposes not just political cover-ups, but the moral bankruptcy of a man who’s spent decades buying answers instead of earning them. The pacing is deliberate, almost cruel in its refusal to rush—until the final act, which hits like a gut punch you didn’t see coming. Juan Manuel Martínez’s performance is a masterclass in restraint. He doesn’t *act* so much as *inhabit* Serradel, his delivery oscillating between icy control and bursts of raw fury that feel dangerously real. My only critique?
