Epidemic

I was hooked from the get-go with Epidemic. Sando's narration is steady and engaging, capturing the gritty realism of Holt's prose. The story is a slow burn, but it's worth the wait as it builds to a satisfyingly complex conclusion. Holt's exploration of power and corruption feels timely and relevant, adding depth to what could have been a straightforward whodunit. My only critique is that some of the secondary characters could have been more fully fleshed out, but that's a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent listen. The production is clean and crisp, with no distractions from the story at hand.
