Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

For me, 'Fists of Justice' was a captivating dive into a unique fantasy landscape. Christopher Nuttall crafts a world that feels both alien and strangely familiar, even amidst its dragons and political upheaval. The societal changes spurred by the dragon are handled with intelligence and a refreshing lack of cliché. Emily Beneficence is a protagonist worth cheering for – smart, capable, and driven by a desire for fairness. Tavia Gilbert's narration is phenomenal; her deep, resonant voice perfectly captures the weight of the revolution and the determined spirit of Emily, while her ability to modulate tone shifts the listener effortlessly between periods of intense action and quiet reflection. The pacing is generally strong, keeping the plot moving forward, though some of the secondary political intrigue felt slightly repetitive towards the middle. Overall, a powerful, empowering story that feels both timely and classic. The only minor critique is that sometimes the sheer scope of the world-building felt a tad overbearing and briefly overshadowed the intimate character moments, but it certainly didn't detract from my enjoyment significantly.
