Hammerhead Ranch Motel

I've listened to my fair share of crime thrillers, but Hammerhead Ranch Motel was a breath of fresh, saltwater-tinged air. The story is a whirlwind of schemes, scams, and double-crosses, with a protagonist, Serge A. Storms, who is equal parts hilarious and horrifying. Wilson's narration is spot-on, capturing the essence of each character, from Serge's laid-back, philosophical musings to the various lowlifes and law enforcement officers he encounters. The pacing is breakneck, with twists and turns coming so fast, you'll feel like you're on a high-speed chase through the Sunshine State. My only critique? The ending felt a tad rushed, but it's a small price to pay for the wild ride that precedes it. If you're looking for a noir with a twist, this is your hammerhead.
