Startide Rising

George K. Wilson's narration is the heart of this audiobook, with his performances for the various characters ranging from the assertive dolphin Streaker to the human protagonist, Alex Miller. His ability to convey the intelligence and emotions of both species makes the interactions feel genuine and profound. The story itself is a masterclass in science fiction storytelling, weaving together complex political intrigue with heartwarming moments of interspecies cooperation. However, the pacing can be a bit uneven at times, particularly during some of the exposition-heavy scenes, which might slow down the more exciting plot developments.
