I was hooked from the start with Hexinblade Academy. The dual-narration by Jonathan Waters and Aurora Bliss is nothing short of exceptional, bringing a depth and richness to the story that I wouldn't have experienced in print. Waters' gruff, no-nonsense delivery for Cal is perfect, while Bliss' versatility shines in her portrayal of the academy's eclectic mix of students and faculty. The pacing is spot on, balancing intense action sequences with quieter moments of character development. My only critique is that some of the world-building info-dumps could have been smoother, but it's a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding listen.
