As someone who loves a good detective story, I was hooked from the first chapter of Hide. Chanté McCormick's narration is outstanding – her voice conveys the emotional depth and turmoil of Detective Harriet Foster so well that you can't help but be drawn into Foster's world. The plot is intricately woven, with plenty of twists and turns that keep you guessing until the very end. However, I found the pacing to be a bit uneven at times, with some chapters feeling a bit too slow compared to the intense action scenes.
