Horselords

I was hooked from the very first chapter. Robin Bloodworth's narration is a standout feature of this audiobook. He masterfully differentiates characters, from the stoic and honorable protagonist, Kargan, to the cunning and manipulative Lady Katerin. His pacing is spot on, building tension and excitement during action sequences and effectively conveying the quieter, more introspective moments. The story itself is a thrilling ride, filled with unexpected twists and turns. However, I found some of the world-building to be a bit heavy-handed at times, with detailed descriptions that slowed down the narrative's momentum. Overall, though, 'Horselords' is a compelling listen that fans of epic fantasy and martial arts will devour.
