I devoured 'House of Chains' in a single, thrilling sitting - Michael Page's narration is a tour-de-force, bringing depth and nuance to Erikson's complex characters. The pacing is relentless, with barely a moment to catch your breath as the story careens from one explosive setpiece to the next. If I have a quibble, it's that some of the supporting characters can feel a bit one-dimensional, and occasionally the narration can be a shade too straightforward for Erikson's more complex prose. Still, these are minor complaints in an otherwise outstanding production that sets a new standard for epic fantasy audiobooks.
