As someone who's been involved in activism, I found Hyperpolitics both frustrating and enlightening. Frustrating because it forces you to confront the hard truths about the ineffectiveness of many modern movements. Enlightening because Jäger offers concrete insights into why this is the case, backed by solid research. Braden Wright's narration is a standout feature. He masterfully navigates the book's dense material, making it accessible without dumbing it down. His pacing is spot on, keeping the listener hooked even during the more theoretical sections. However, I must admit, the book's relentless critique can feel a bit overwhelming at times. It would have been nice to see some solutions or suggestions for improvement. But overall, Hyperpolitics is a must-listen for anyone interested in understanding the intricacies of modern activism.
