I was hooked from the get-go with 'Level Up'. The concept of an AR interface that adapts to its user's skills and preferences is ingenious, and Sugralinov executes it brilliantly. The action sequences are intense and visceral, yet never feel gratuitous. They serve to highlight Mike's growth and the high stakes he's fighting for. De Ocampo's narration is a standout feature, his voice shifting effortlessly between the gruff, battle-hardened fighters and the quieter, introspective moments. My only minor critique is that some of the tech jargon can feel a bit info-dumpy at times, but it's a small price to pay for such a compelling story. The pacing is excellent, balancing high-octane fights with quieter moments of character development and world-building. Overall, 'Level Up' is a fresh, exciting take on post-apocalyptic fiction that's perfect for listeners who enjoy their sci-fi with a side of adrenaline.
