As I settled in with Mantis Preying, I found myself immediately drawn into the world of Daniel O'Dwyer, an unlikely yet engaging protagonist. Rudy Sanda's narration perfectly captures the dry wit and sarcastic tone of the story, making it a pleasure to listen to. Carney's satirical take on the medical world and the quirky characters of Oak Island had me laughing out loud and guessing 'whodunit' until the very end. My only critique is that the pacing occasionally felt a bit slow, especially in the middle of the audiobook. However, overall, Mantis Preying is a delightful and refreshing listen that kept me entertained from start to finish.
