Marquard and Seeley

As an audiobook enthusiast, I was excited to dive into Marquard and Seeley, and I wasn't disappointed. The Virtual Voice narration is top-notch, with a smooth and natural tone that perfectly complements Hynd's engaging writing. I found myself drawn into the story, particularly in the chapters that explore the early days of boxing and the evolution of the entertainment industry. One of my favorite aspects of the audiobook is the way Hynd seamlessly weaves together the lives of Marquard and Seeley, creating a rich and nuanced portrait of two men who left an indelible mark on their respective fields. That being said, I did find the pacing to be a bit uneven in places, particularly in the later chapters. At times, the narrative feels a bit disjointed, making it difficult to maintain momentum. Additionally, some listeners may find the historical context to be a bit dry, particularly if they're not familiar with the sports and entertainment history of the early 20th century. However, for fans of the genre, Marquard and Seeley is a must-listen, offering a unique and captivating look into a fascinating period in history.
