About This Audiobook

In Mob Sorcery 2, K.D. Robertson ups the ante with a story that's as much about the gritty underbelly of Chicago as it is about the magical forces at play. Narrator Stephanie Savannah brings Vince's tough-but-tormented world to life with a sassy, street-smart tone that's perfect for the protagonist's wisecracking, hard-boiled persona. The result is an audiobook that's both a propulsive page-turner and a deeply immersive listen.

The production is top-notch, with Savannah's narration deftly balancing action, dialogue, and introspection. The story is full of clever world-building touches and a keen sense of pacing, making it easy to become fully invested in Vince's struggles to navigate the treacherous landscape of mob politics and magical mayhem.

Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

I devoured Mob Sorcery 2 in a single, mesmerizing sitting - and I'm not just saying that because I'm a genre fan. Stephanie Savannah's narration is phenomenal, capturing Vince's rough-around-the-edges charm and the seedy, pulpy atmosphere of the story. The pacing is relentless, with a narrative that's always on the move. My only quibbles are that some of the supporting characters feel a tad underdeveloped, and a couple of the plot twists feel a bit predictable. Still, these are minor complaints in what is otherwise a wildly entertaining and engaging listen. Robertson's world-building is rich and detailed, and the way she weaves together magic, mob politics, and Chicago's grittier realities is nothing short of masterful.
