Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

As a fan of classic mysteries, I found 'Murder in the Mill-Race' to be a delightful surprise. Lorac's plotting is intricate and clever, keeping listeners guessing until the very end. Thorpe's narration is a joy, his ability to shift accents and pacing making each character distinct and engaging. The story's pacing is excellent, building tension slowly but steadily, like a mill-race gaining momentum. My only critique is that some secondary characters could have been more fully developed, but this is a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent audiobook. The production is clean and unobtrusive, allowing the story and narration to take center stage.
