As an audiobook listener, I was immediately drawn into 'Murder on Bainbridge Island' by its unique setting and promising premise. Krystal Doolittle's narration is a real treat, with a voice that's as comforting as your favorite sweater and as engaging as a lively conversation with an old friend. She brings DeeDee's character to life with a delightful mix of wit and vulnerability. The story itself is a solid mystery, with enough twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat. However, I did find some of the secondary characters a bit one-dimensional, which sometimes made the plot feel a tad predictable. Overall, though, it's a compelling listen that's perfect for fans of cozy mysteries with a touch of class.
