Editor's Review ★★★★

AudioBook Atlas

I went into My Sister's Daughter expecting a standard domestic thriller, but Liv Constantine's latest outing is anything but predictable. From the opening pages, it's clear that we're in for a wild ride, as Ashley Bowers struggles to balance her desire to protect her niece with the growing sense of unease that something is very wrong. One of the things that struck me most about this audiobook was the way Suzanne Elise Freeman handled the complex emotional dynamics at play. She brought a level of depth and sensitivity to the characters that's hard to find in narrators, and her ability to convey the fear and uncertainty that drives Ashley's actions was particularly impressive. If I have one quibble, it's that the pacing can feel a bit uneven at times - there are sections where the tension builds at a breakneck pace, only to slow down to a crawl afterwards. Despite this, I found myself completely drawn into the world of My Sister's Daughter, and I'd highly recommend it to fans of domestic thrillers and psychological suspense. Just be prepared for a wild ride - Constantine's twists and turns will keep you guessing until the very end.
