Orpheus

I was blown away by 'Orpheus'. I expected a quick, easy listen, but what I got was a gut punch. Gardner's retelling is raw, visceral, and surprisingly modern. Spera's narration is nothing short of stellar, his voice capturing the essence of each character with nuance and depth. The pacing is perfect, building to a heart-wrenching crescendo that left me reeling. My only critique? I wish it were longer! But then again, perhaps the brevity is part of its genius. It's a love story that's over almost before it begins, much like the tragic tale it tells. A must-listen for fans of Greek mythology, poetry, and love stories that pack a punch.
