That said, the middle act drags slightly with repetitive internal monologues about ‘trust,’ and one subplot involving a rival feels tacked on for artificial tension. The narration, though, is *flawless*. Melissa Barr’s Sammara is all dry humor and velvet growls—she makes even the most over-the-top dirty talk sound organic. Tristan James, meanwhile, pulls off the near-impossible: four distinct voices (including a Southern drawl and a clipped Boston accent) that never bleed into each other. His delivery of the Rangers’ trash talk—especially during a *hilarious* scene involving a broken coffee maker—had me rewinding to laugh again. The production quality is top-tier, with seamless transitions between POVs and ambient sounds (helicopters, rain) that immerse without distracting.
