Realms of Shadow

As someone who has followed R. A. Salvatore's works for years, I was excited to dive into Realms of Shadow and see what new realms the author would explore. From the very beginning, Lance Axt's narration drew me in, with his distinct voices for each character and his ability to convey the emotions and tensions within the story. While the book itself is a bit slower-paced than some of Salvatore's previous works, it more than makes up for it with the rich world-building and the fascinating journey of Shade Enclave. Axt's performance, combined with the intricate plot, makes for a captivating listen that kept me engaged throughout. One minor critique is that some of the explanations of the Plane of Shadow's mechanics could have been more clearly articulated. Nonetheless, Realms of Shadow is a must-listen for fans of dark fantasy and sci-fi, and a fantastic addition to the audiobook landscape.
