Relentless

I went into *Relentless* expecting a standard YA revenge tale, but Lynch delivered something far sharper—a story that claws at your ribs and refuses to let go. Sara Grey is the kind of protagonist you want to hug and slap simultaneously: resilient to the point of stubbornness, her grief feels real enough to bruise. Greer’s narration elevates the material exponentially. I’ve heard good narrators before, but she’s in a league of her own when it comes to conveying emotional depth without overacting. The way she modulates Sara’s voice as the stakes skyrocket—from hollow exhaustion to feral determination—is masterclass. That said, the middle act drags a bit. Some of the world-building exposition could’ve been trimmed without losing impact, and a few side characters blur together. The audiobook’s production is flawless, though—no muffled dialogue or volume jumps. If you’re a fan of morally gray deities, slow-burn vengeance, and heroines who refuse to stay broken, this is a must-listen. Just be prepared to rage-read (or rage-listen) on Sara’s behalf. The ending is worth every second of emotional whiplash.
