Stephen Bowlby's narration is nothing short of extraordinary. He imbues Kenneth Chinran with a complexity that's as fascinating as it is disturbing. Bowlby's ability to convey Chinran's inner turmoil, from his guilt-ridden flashbacks to his cold, calculating decisions, is a masterclass in character performance. The pacing is breakneck, with Williamson's tight, action-packed chapters propelling the story forward at a dizzying speed. However, the relentless action can sometimes feel at the expense of character development, with some secondary characters feeling underutilized. But if you're looking for a sci-fi thrill ride that doesn't shy away from the harsh realities of war, Rogue delivers in spades.
