Rule Britannia

Sarah Lambie's narration is a standout feature of this audiobook. Her ability to convey the subtle shifts in Emma's emotions, from confusion to fear to determination, keeps listeners on the edge of their seats. Du Maurier's exploration of power dynamics, particularly through the relationship between Emma and the enigmatic American captain, is as compelling as ever. The pacing is excellent, building tension masterfully until the satisfying, if somewhat ambiguous, conclusion. My only critique is that some of the secondary characters could have been more fully developed, but this is a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding listen.
