Editor's Review ★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

I was drawn into the world of Sexton Blake from the start, Colin Mace's smooth narration making it easy to follow the twists and turns of the plot. The Caribbean Crisis is a solid, if unremarkable, detective story, but it's Voodoo Island that really shines, with Moorcock's atmospheric writing and Mace's spooky narration combining to create a genuinely unsettling listening experience. My only criticisms are that the production could benefit from a bit more sound design to enhance the atmosphere, and that some of the supporting characters feel a bit underdeveloped. Overall, though, this is a great addition to the Sexton Blake canon, and fans of pulp fiction will love it.
