Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

As an audiobook editor, I was struck by the way Kevin R. Free's narration effortlessly navigated the twists and turns of Stevie Wonder's life. His voice is both soothing and engaging, making it easy to become fully invested in the story. However, at times I felt that the pacing could be tightened up, particularly in the sections that deal with Stevie's tumultuous 1970s, where the narrative can feel a bit disjointed. That being said, the moments that truly stand out are those where Stevie's music takes center stage. Ribowsky's descriptions of the creative process behind iconic songs like 'Superstition' and 'Sir Duke' are nothing short of captivating, making me want to go back and listen to these tracks again with fresh ears. While this audiobook is far from a negative critique, I do wish that the production team had included more musical cues or samples to further enhance the listening experience. Nonetheless, Signed, Sealed, and Delivered remains a compelling and deeply moving portrait of a true music legend.
