Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

As an editor, I was struck by Lucy Rayner's ability to bring Wrede's characters to life with her nuanced narration. Rayner's sense of timing and tone is impeccable, and she handles the story's many twists and turns with ease. However, I did find the pacing to be a bit uneven in places, particularly towards the middle of the audiobook. Additionally, some listeners may find the historical setting and period-specific language to be a bit of a barrier, but I think this is a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent production. Overall, I highly recommend Sorcery & Cecelia to fans of fantasy, adventure, and historical fiction.
