As an editor, I was thoroughly enthralled by Stand Alone, and I think listeners will be too. Brewer's narration is superb, with a keen sense of pacing that perfectly complements Van Stry's fast-moving plot. One of the standout aspects of the audiobook is the way the author weaves together complex world-building and character development, making it easy to become fully immersed in the world of the emperor's court. My only critique would be that some listeners may find the supporting cast to be slightly underdeveloped; however, Chase's journey is so compelling that it's easy to forgive this minor oversight. With its breakneck pacing and engaging characters, Stand Alone is a must-listen for fans of science fiction and adventure.
