I was thoroughly hooked from the opening scene, where Lara's ordinary day turns into a nightmare. Tanya Eby's narration is top-notch – she brings a sense of gravitas and intensity to the story, perfectly capturing the emotional depth of the characters. Her portrayal of Detective Ellie Reeves is particularly noteworthy, conveying a sense of determination and grit that makes you root for her from the start. One of the things that sets 'Stolen Angels' apart is its ability to balance atmosphere and tension. Herron expertly crafts a sense of foreboding that permeates the entire narrative, making you feel like something is off from the very beginning. At the same time, she skillfully ramps up the tension as the investigation unfolds, keeping you guessing and on the edge of your seat.
