About This Audiobook

Agatha Christie's 'Stumt vidne' (The Witness for the Prosecution) is a compact, thrilling mystery that packs a punch in just over eight hours. The story revolves around the enigmatic Emily Arundell, a wealthy widow whose sudden death leaves her family members scrambling. Christie masterfully weaves a tale of greed, deception, and unexpected twists, keeping listeners guessing until the very end. Søren Elung Jensen's narration brings the characters to life, his dry wit and ability to convey emotion making this audiobook a standout. The distinctive aspect of this Christie classic is its non-linear structure, told through a series of testimonies, which adds to the intrigue and suspense.

AudioBook Atlas

I was immediately drawn into 'Stumt vidne' by its unique structure and the intriguing character of Emily Arundell. Søren Elung Jensen's narration is a perfect fit for this story, his calm, measured tone effectively conveying the tension and drama. He skillfully differentiates characters, making it easy to follow the various testimonies. The pacing is excellent, with Christie's signature twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat. My only minor critique is that some of the older characters' voices could have been made more distinct. However, this is a small issue in an otherwise outstanding audiobook. If you're a fan of classic mysteries, or even if you're new to Agatha Christie, 'Stumt vidne' is a must-listen.
