I was immediately drawn into Styx and Stones by Mia Chiaromonte's warm and engaging narration. She captures Daisy's essence perfectly, making her a relatable heroine despite the decades separating us. The story is a delightful puzzle, with red herrings and twists that kept me guessing until the very end. Dunn's writing is a joy, with a keen eye for detail that brings the 1920s to life. The pacing is excellent, balancing suspense with moments of humor and charm. My only critique is that some of the secondary characters could have been more fully developed. But overall, Styx and Stones is a fantastic listen that I'd highly recommend to fans of historical mysteries and cozy thrillers.
