That said, the pacing isn’t flawless. The middle act drags slightly during a subplot involving a magical bureaucracy—it’s funny, but the jokes start to feel like padding when you’re itching for the main conflict to escalate. And while the magic system is endlessly creative (I’ll never look at a garden gnome the same way again), some rules feel conveniently flexible when the plot demands it. Still, the production quality is impeccable: the audio levels are balanced even during rapid-fire dialogue, and the subtle sound effects (a crackling fire here, a distant howl there) add immersion without overpowering. By the final act, when the spa’s sauna becomes a literal battlefield, I was fully invested—not just in the magic, but in the *people* wielding it.
