The production team also deserves credit for keeping the audio crisp and immersive, with no distracting pops or drops in volume, which is crucial in a thriller that demands your full attention. That said, *The Body in the Shadows* isn’t without its hiccups. The middle act drags slightly as Gillard’s personal demons overshadow the investigation, and the killer’s motives—while serviceable—feel a bit too convenient, as if Louth prioritized twists over organic resolution.
