January LaVoy's performance is nothing short of exceptional, bringing a chilling authenticity to the sinister 'Chain' organization and a heart-wrenching vulnerability to Rachel, the mother fighting to save her daughter. The story is a masterclass in tension, with McKinty expertly doling out clues and red herrings, keeping you guessing until the very end. If I have one critique, it's that the pacing can feel a tad uneven, with some sections racing along at breakneck speed while others linger on details that could have been streamlined. But these moments are few and far between, and they do little to detract from the overall listening experience. This is a thriller that demands your full attention, and it's one you won't soon forget.
