I was hooked from the first chapter. McFadden's writing is lean and mean, wasting no time in drawing you into Tegan's desperate situation. Howard's narration is a perfect match, her voice capturing the exhaustion and determination of a woman pushed to her limits. The pacing is relentless, with each chapter ending on a cliffhanger that had me hitting 'play' again and again. The production is minimalistic, allowing the story and performances to take center stage. My only critique is that some of the secondary characters feel a bit one-dimensional, but this is a small gripe in an otherwise outstanding listen. The Crash is a thrilling reminder that sometimes, the most dangerous places are the ones we think we can hide in.
