Editor's Review ★★★★

AudioBook Atlas

I was hooked from the start by Jemisin's unique take on godhood. Her world-building is nothing short of extraordinary, with intricate hierarchies and political intrigue that kept me on the edge of my seat. Freeman's narration is a perfect match, her voice resonating with the right amount of authority and vulnerability as we follow Yeine, a young woman thrust into a deadly game of power. The pacing is excellent, balancing action and introspection. However, I found the resolution slightly rushed, leaving me craving more. Despite this, 'The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms' is a standout listen that's left me eager for more from Jemisin's world.
