I'm pleased to report that 'The Sultan of Monte Cristo' is a worthy successor, offering a fresh take on the classic tale without losing the essence of Dumas' original. Virtual Voice's narration is exceptional, capturing the spirit of the original while bringing a modern energy to the characters. The pacing is spot-on, balancing action, intrigue, and character development. However, the futuristic elements sometimes feel a bit jarring, and the ending feels a tad rushed. Overall, though, this is a fantastic listen for fans of the original, offering a unique blend of old and new that's hard to resist.
