Listening to Thick as Thieves is like taking a leisurely ride through the frontier, with Annette Romano as our trusty guide. Her narration is as smooth as a well-worn saddle, effortlessly bringing Andi's voice to life. Romano's pacing is spot-on, capturing the tension of Taffy's foaling and the joy of Andi's newfound friendships. The production is clean, with just the right amount of ambient sounds to immerse you in the story. My only critique? I wish there were more stories in this series, as I've grown quite fond of Andi and her adventures. But even as a standalone, Thick as Thieves is a wonderful listen that will leave you with a warm, fuzzy feeling.
