As a fan of both westerns and sci-fi, I was immediately drawn into the unique world of Vierzig Frachter randwärts. The story is lean and mean, wasting no time on unnecessary exposition, instead launching straight into the action. I was particularly impressed with the way Andrews explores themes of power, corruption, and the price of progress through his compelling characters. Lontzek's narration is a perfect fit for this story, his gruff, no-nonsense delivery capturing the brutal, uncompromising spirit of the frontier. My only critique is that some of the female characters could have been more fully developed, but overall, this is a standout audiobook that I'd highly recommend to fans of hard-boiled sci-fi and westerns. The pacing is excellent, keeping the listener engaged from start to finish, and the production quality is top-notch.
