As someone who's listened to their fair share of space operas, I found War Fleet to be a refreshing and engaging listen. The pacing is excellent, balancing moments of intense action with quieter, character-driven scenes. Virtual Voice's narration is a highlight, with a smooth, authoritative voice that's perfect for Captain Frank and a commendable ability to differentiate between characters, even those with similar-sounding names. My only critique is that some of the political intrigue could have been a bit more nuanced, as it sometimes felt a bit too black and white.
