I was immediately drawn into Mai Ling Turner’s vivid narration of Wet Magic. Her ability to infuse every scene with just the right amount of drama and playfulness ensures that even the mundane parts of the story are captivating. The pacing is excellent, never dragging despite the length. What truly stands out is her portrayal of the mermaid character; it's a masterclass in subtlety and emotional depth. A minor critique might be the occasionally stilted dialogue between the human characters, which can pull you slightly away from the magical world Nesbit has created. Nonetheless, this audiobook is a must-listen for anyone who loves enchanting fairy tales brought to life through exceptional narration.
