I was immediately drawn into A Lesson in Murder's engaging premise and charming protagonist. Karen Cass's narration is a joy, capturing Lady Swift's wit and intelligence, as well as the quirky cast of characters that surround her. The pacing is spot on, keeping the listener on the edge of their seat as Lady Swift unravels the mystery. I loved the clever red herrings and the satisfying resolution. My only critique is that I wish there had been a bit more development of the school's atmosphere; the setting felt a bit underutilized at times. But this is a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent audiobook. If you're looking for a smart, funny, and engaging mystery, look no further than A Lesson in Murder.
