The trailer park setting, with its rusted-out trailers and flickering neon signs, practically oozes off the page thanks to his performance. Chandler doesn’t just read the words—he inhabits them, giving even the most mundane exchanges a simmering edge. That said, there were moments where the pacing felt *too* tight, like Allen’s script was so intent on keeping the pressure on that it skipped over a few logical bridges in the plot. And while Bean’s investigations are compelling, his personal life (or lack thereof) felt more like a checklist item than a fully fleshed-out character trait. Still, these are minor quibbles in what is otherwise a relentlessly engaging listen. The production is crisp, the sound design subtly immersive, and Chandler’s performance elevates every twist and turn.
