The real magic, though, lies in how Chandler modulates voice—shifting between clipped, authoritative tones for the bodyguard and guttural menace for the antagonists without overdoing it. That said, there were a few moments where the pacing stumbled, particularly during a mid-book confrontation that felt rushed in comparison to the rest of the taut storytelling. The production is crisp, with minimal background noise, though I could’ve done without the occasional overemphasis on certain sound effects—like car doors slamming—adding nothing new to the tension.
