John Banks' narration is the star of the show here. His voice is perfectly suited to the grimy, dangerous world of Nekropolis, and he imbues Matt Richter with a weary, world-weary charm that's impossible not to love. The story moves at a breakneck pace, with Waggoner expertly balancing action, intrigue, and character development. The plot is complex, with plenty of twists and turns to keep listeners on the edge of their seats. My only critique is that some of the supernatural elements can feel a bit overly complex at times, but Waggoner's world-building is so compelling that it's easy to forgive.
