I devoured Dead Center in a single, enthralled sitting. Grover Gardner's narration is superb, capturing the tension and emotional complexity of Jeremy's predicament. The pacing is relentless, with Rosenfelt expertly ratcheting up the suspense as the story hurtles towards its conclusion. My only minor quibbles are that some of the supporting characters feel a tad underdeveloped, and the occasional narrative convenience strains credibility. Still, these are minor complaints in an otherwise riveting listen. Gardner's production quality is top-notch, with clear, well-balanced sound that makes for a seamless listening experience.
