As someone who's listened to my fair share of military sci-fi, I can confidently say that Hell's Rejects is a standout series. The story is a thrilling blend of heist movie and space opera, with a dash of political intrigue thrown in for good measure. Forbes has created a rich, detailed universe that feels lived-in and believable, with a diverse cast of characters that are as compelling as they are flawed. Jeff Hays' narration is truly outstanding, with each character having their own unique voice and accent, making it easy to keep track of the large cast. The only minor critique I have is that the pacing can sometimes feel a bit too fast, with some character development getting lost in the action.
